There has been a lot of talk about the El Nino weather pattern that is going to be effecting the country this summer and possibly longer into 2016.

So what is El Nino? It is a climate effecting weather pattern that is caused when westerly winds shift the pacific warm waters eastwards towards the South American Coast. This shift causes the west to be hot and dry and the east to be wetter.

Great news…this means our summer forecast is plenty of sunshine with offshore winds for the Eastern side of the Coromandel. This is PERFECT for Glass Bottom Boat trips as the sea should be flat and calm. The sea caves and awesome rock pinnacles will be easy to explore, ensuring the ultimate experience. With the sun shining down, snorkelling will be more tempting that ever! Lucky we know where all the best snorkel spots along the coast are. We have snorkel equipment on board which is free to use and our snorkel guides will point out all the different species of marine life that can be seen when snorkelling or watching though the glass.

We are excited for summer and you should be too. Our skippers and crew are waiting to get on the water and give all our guests an unforgettable adventure exploring Cathedral Cove and the amazing marine reserve. Glass Bottom Boat tours run daily and departs every few hours from the Whitianga wharf. Seats are limited so bookings are essential. To make a booking use our online booking form  or contact our booking office on 07 867 1962.

We will see you on the water!
